  I contracted as a Flex UI developer for Tendril. I helped redesign their existing customer-facing portal UI in addition to implementing new functionality. This included making changes to server-side code (transport and persistence layers) to accommodate the new functionality of the UI. The new design supported use of a Java-based REST interface to the back-end.The new Flex-based portal employed object-oriented principles to ActionScripting including custom components, controls and implementation of Event Model driven functionality. CSS classes were used to skin the interface.I was able to effectively get up to speed with their existing portal framework and integrate quickly into Tendril's agile development group, as well as interface with the Product Managers and contribute to weekly iteration planning using Rally's agile software development tool.
