Few people have the opportunity to report to a manager who is also a coach and mentor-but I did when I worked for Ryan. In those four years, I've seen him not only excel at the core elements of his job -- like developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements -- but also learn other tasks that extend well beyond the scope of his role, like implementing a new reconciliation software program within our company. That's one of the things that's so remarkable about Ryan. He demonstrates not only mastery for his role, but also the ability to motivate his team and is always finding creative ways to increase efficiency within the department. Ryan is the go-to person when there is an accounting issue, excel question, or opportunity for process improvement. Ryan would be an asset to any team, and any employee would be lucky to have him as a manager.

Ryan posses the unique qualities of being both extremely easy to get along with and also very dedicated to his work. In the years I worked with Ryan, I came to appreciate his attention to detail and his strong work ethic, not allowing anything to fall through the cracks no matter how busy he was (and there were plenty of days where he got to work long before anyone else arrived and stayed long after everyone else had left). One thing that stands out about Ryan (and truthfully he has more positive qualities than I have the space to enumerate), is his ability to remain calm and positive no matter how much pressure he's under. I would wholeheartedly recommend Ryan to any company fortunate enough to want him on their team.
