Women of MSTP x NYU [WoMxN] Founder and President
-
Feb 2019 - Present
Founder and current president. WoMxN is a community built on empowerment and support. WoMxN’s mission is to support women MD-PhD students in addressing specific challenges faced by women as an underrepresented group along the career path, from applicant to student to physician-scientist. Creative director of events that include lunch sessions with invited women physicians-scientist speakers, workshops where we discuss current/potential career obstacles unique to women/affect women differently than men, wellness bonding workouts around NYC, and more. Sessions are open to all students because we recognize that “women’s issues” often affect men as well, and that both men and women are invested in working to change gender inequality. Show less
