When I worked alongside Jess at HSGKC it was like finding a diamond in the rough. The organization is a humble one and we had limited resources; such is a non-profit! Her design skills, creative problem solving, and relentless work ethic made us a wonderful pair. She was able to manage dozens of projects all while staying on deadline and creating value in her work. Jess is what I like to call a true "jack of all trades". She is able to lead a team of volunteers on a manual labor project, design-create-implement fundraising campaigns in record time (with NO design team - JUST herself), and she is able to communicate with grace, poise, and professionalism to stakeholders on all sides. Even though Jess is wonderful at design, she has many other skills. She is an exceptional writer, critic, and editor. She and I actually designed an entire 50+ page website in one week. We sat and plugged away for an entire week to get it done, but we did it. To say she is "industrious" would be an understatement. If the chance to work with Jess arose again I would not hesitate to grab that opportunity.
