I've had a chance to work with a great team on a cloud-based, video delivering and interactive application for a Smart TV. I've worked on both middleware and front-end parts. So, the middleware is written in ExpressJS, and it's main purpose to hide the server behind itself. Also it provides data from server to client so we know what to draw. Front-end part is in ReactJS, the choice is stemmed from our needs in controlling everything what's going on at the screen, since Smart TV… Show more I've had a chance to work with a great team on a cloud-based, video delivering and interactive application for a Smart TV. Well, this was an e-commerce project. Back-end is written in PHP, and front-end in jQuery and VanillaJS. I was writing both front and back-end scripts and I've added a bunch of logic there. At some point My main part of the site became the main flow, and I was told to rewrite it. So I did it: using existing functional I wrote middleware for it, and basing on this middleware I wrote the whole front-end again, but in AngularJS. So I did it: using existing functional I wrote middleware for it, and basing on this middleware I wrote the whole front-end again, but in AngularJS. After some time I've rewritten almost every part of front-end from jQuery/VanillaJS to AngularJS with components and directives. Also, I've reduced amount of files are sent to user, so the page loading became shorter. For developing purposes I've improved files structure and unified all the styles. My biggest challenge was rewriting user history with AngularJS, since it had 5 filters, and each affects another. Show less Well, this was an e-commerce project.
