While working at the Alliance for Downtown New York as Database Manager, I had the pleasure of partnering with Futures and Options to bring in quality interns to assist with the function of the Marketing and Communications Department. Futures and Options empowers New York City's underserved youth to explore careers through career development and paid, mentored internships. When Onike came to the office to interview, her maturity belied her age. She succinctly answered our questions with confidence and ease. Upon bringing her on board the team, she quickly learned the necessary database functions to perform her daily tasks. As new interns joined the team, Onike reliably trained them on the protocols and procedures for the on-going projects she was working on. Onike is a highly skilled, professional and motivated candidate. She efficiently and reliably completes tasks as they are assigned and has the leadership capacity to effectively oversee projects with a team.
