Mariette and I worked together in the Data Science team at HealthQ Technologies from early 2019 to February 2020. During this time, Mariette took over the responsibility of coordinating and managing the team’s workload to ensure everyone is productive and deadlines are met. Mariette also played a huge part in establishing a suitable workflow for our team. Mariette has a strong sense of responsibility and tackles every task with enthusiasm and dedication. Mariette is kind and soft-spoken by nature but knows how to be assertive if the situation demands it. She is deeply passionate about the well-being and development of her teammates, and always strives to establish a positive work environment. Altogether, I consider Mariette an excellent manager and mentor.

I had the privilege to work with Mariette during the last year. Mariette's drive for performance in her sport speaks volumes for her work ethic too - the drive to be her best and the discipline to keep working at becoming better and better at what she does. Her love for exploring and learning is evident in how she took on the challenge to manage the team. The desire to learn is what stands out as her greatest quality as a leader. She explores every possible angle, she reflects and thinks deeply on things to ensure that she has all the context never wanting to make her own assumptions, this quality holds her in good stead to be a great leader. The other great qualities are Mariette's ability to listen carefully respecting everyone's opinion, her empathy for each person's situation and the desire to do her best for the team she manages putting them first.
