From the years of 2016 until the end of 2021 (a period of 5 years) I was a full time student at Multimedia University perusing a degree in Electrical Engineering.I spent the first year of this journey finishing up a foundation year (2016 to 2017) and then began by four years of Electrical Engineering (2017 to 2021).The electrical engineering course at Multimedia University focused on quite a number of things ranging from power generation, transmission, and distribution, to power electronics and high voltage to embedded devices and even assembly language. The course encompassed many things from a number of different field which fall under electrical engineering.I graduated from Multimedia University with a Bachelor’s of Electrical Engineering degree with a CGPA of 3.96/4 which allowed me to be awarded a first class honors by the university. I took on a role as a teaching assistant (otherwise known as a Buddy Tutor in Multimedia University) where I was helping students improve their C programming skills.During my time doing that my tasks mainly involved helping people new to programming pick up on the fundamentals of the C programming language. I have helped teach the students about the basic data types, functions, arrays, strings and the string.h library.

During my time at bolt industries, myself and my teammate (another intern) where given the task to take the lead on building a prototype for an OCPP enabled electric vehicle charger. After a lot of time researching the OCPP standard, its usages, and existing libraries, we decided to implement OCPP 1.6J as this standard was supported by a lot of central system platforms. At the end of the internship period my teammate and I were able to deliver all of the goals that were set at the beginning of the internship and we were able to go above and beyond in some aspects. The following list is of the items delivered by the end of the internship period: 1- An entirely new codebase written from scratch for a fully-featured Django-based OCPP 1.6J central system. This central system was fully compliant with the OCPP 1.6J standard as per the standard documentation and was capable of handling all of the actions in the OCPP 1.6J standard. 2- An OpenEVSE charger with a modified codebase to make it OCPP 1.6J enabled. This was done by using the RAPI command set which is offered by the OpenEVSE chargers. This project was built using Python for the central system as well as the Arduino C++ language for the hardware side of things. Show less
