I developed a new portable analysis pipeline, suitable for internal HPC and cloud. I put up new infrastructure to support the analysis of 50,000 samples a year. I developed and implemented metadata and data storage techniques, along with search capabilities, to make all of the new data this system generates accessible and useful. I put up two intranet portals to service lab customers and data analysts. They also serve as the logical hub for all of the aforementioned services. I was the main bioinformatics engineer for the Single Cell Genomics Sequencing Core at Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences . I created end-to-end pipelines for single cell bacterial analysis. I provided computational support for genomics research on previously unsequenced ocean-dwelling bacteria, in an attempt to improve our understanding of carbon sequestration cycles and global warming.
