I worked closely with Pam during the development of the Open Schooling Navigator (Make it Open). In this collaboration I got to know her as a very pleasant person to work with and very competent in her work. She managed the Waag team in which me and my colleague from KO took on the role as concept designers. Pam was deeply engaged in the project and in the team, and showed to be keen on pursuing a good project in terms of both content and relation. With her energetic, enthusiastic, empathetic and open attitude to everything that crosses her path, it was a real pleasure ánd inspiring to work with her. I am looking forward to working with her again!

Media and Performance Laboratory (MAPLAB) was a pioneer in innovating and accelerating creative processes through mixed reality technology (2012 -2015).As a coordinator of pioneers Pam's responsibilities covered a wide range of things: budgetmanagement, writing contracts, developing an efficient project-flow, community building, etc. Pam loves to work with creative and ambitious knowledge experts, and bring their successful initiative to a next level by getting the minimal optimal structure in place. She is very passionate about MAPLAB’s role in breaking boundaries of disciplines in the performative art field, and believes in MAPLAB’s approach of lowering the threshold for experimenting with technology on one hand and continuous open source development on the other.MAPLAB was a place for practice-led research, a center of knowledge and expertise, a development site, a learning environment, a process supervisor and a partner in co-creation of mixed reality experiences. It was intrinsically linked to (arts) educational institutions and worked closely together with arts practitioners and researchers. The technological tools and research environment of the MAPLAB were designed to be applicable for research in other sectors. Show less
