We have had the great pleasure of working with Laura for over two years now, and in that time we have benefited from her undeniable talent in more ways than we could have ever imagined. A ray of sunshine, Laura brings energy, passion and commitment to any project. Fantastically self-motivated, Laura benefits from a direct brief but then (given permission) will strive with a licence to be creative. It takes little time to have total faith in the quality of her work - regardless of the task. The most stand out value I recognise in Laura, though, is her accountability. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Laura stands tall and gets to work without question. Delivering on-time, and to the brief. She is a critical part of our Platinum family, and by us providing flexibility and a sense of ownership, we have a strong working relationship that we certainly hope will span many years in to the future.

      • Management of annual and production budgets, crew and artist contracts, grants and acquittals. Individual production budgets ranged from small-scale fringe productions of $15k, to the highly celebrated Leenane Trilogy in 2014: a 9-hour, $200k production which cemented KIN’s reputation as one of Melbourne’s leading independent theatre companies. • Programming and production management. As rotating Artistic Director, I have been responsible for KIN’s programming, and managed the negotiation of performance rights and contracts for (non-ensemble) cast, crew, publicists, co-presenters and venues for all KIN productions. • Corporate and private sponsor liaison. As well as producing our seasonal sponsorship packs, I also acted as the primary liaison for all KIN sponsors, ensuring their contractual rights were fulfilled, and that they felt involved and appreciated at all times. • Audience development. In 2016, I headed up KIN’s expansion into the arts education space. In 2017, we secured the rights to Tim Winton’s Shrine, and were successful in our application to have it included on the VCAA Theatre Studies set text list. I designed and developed all educational support materials to Education Department standards, and acted as primary liaison for school and VCAA (Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority) staff. • Copywriting and coordination of all production and advertising materials including websites, programs, social media and email marketing. • Management of ticketing systems (SABO) and subscriber/multi-show ticket packages. • Programming and business development for highly competitive international high school arts tours. In 2015, I accepted an opportunity to design a tailored dance and drama program for a group of Australian students visiting New York. Over five years, I grew this business into a multi-million-dollar seasonal arts touring program for drama, dance, media, visual arts and music students visiting New York, London, Berlin, Paris and Spain. I now act as Creative Director of these programs (with a team of four), and as the primary liaison for school staff and teaching artists working to deliver dynamic, curriculum-led programs that enrich and enliven students’ engagement in the arts. • Brand definition and development. My primary creative strength as a Marketing Executive is in copywriting and communications. In this field I have delivered impactful content marketing campaigns for Platinum in the mental health and employee health and happiness spaces, and supported management in the preparation of high-converting sales and marketing materials and award submissions. • Development and delivery of annual marketing and communication strategies across all divisions and platforms. Over two years, I’ve managed all press and communications surrounding Platinum’s rapid expansion into regional Victoria, metropolitan W.A. and New Zealand. I developed and delivered Platinum’s first formal marketing and communication strategies, and swiftly adapted these to operate in an ultra-low-budget COVID marketplace with minimal staff and resources. • Staff management and training. As a key member of Platinum’s leadership team, I’ve been responsible for the day-to-day management of all internal and external company communications, content and digital marketing, as well as staff training and change management around new systems. As Platinum’s marketing team grew, I enjoyed greater responsibility as a Line Manager and mentor to early-career sales and marketing staff. Show less

      • Programming and coordination of high school arts and language tours. Design and delivery of highly tailored, exclusive arts and language programs for overseas travel. This role involved the sourcing and appointment of international teaching artists from some of the world’s biggest performing arts institutions, as well as the negotiation of hotel, dining and tour contracts to optimise client budgets. • Project management of new office openings. A high-level, short-term role in which I managed the fit outs of store fronts in Perth and Melbourne. In this role I sourced and hired all construction and design staff and contractors; bringing both projects in on budget and within the company’s strict brand guidelines for retail spaces. I also handled the marketing, press and events associated with the office openings; and secured presenting partners to share all associated costs. • Ad production and campaign management. Sourcing and negotiating competitive options, pricing and placement for all advertising channels. Copywriting, storyboarding, approving and reporting on all ads in market. • Management, maintenance and segmentation of client database for the targeted promotion of speciality products and services. Automation of digital marketing campaigns to engage new subscribers. • Preparation and dissemination of engaging and accurate digital marketing campaigns and content for regular client communications. Distribution of performance and activity reports to management to refine and optimise campaigns and campaign spend. • Development and implementation of social media competitions and advertising campaigns to support company events, expos, retail specials and branded packaged tours. • Design and management of web content to support all campaigns in market. • Regular liaison with preferred suppliers to negotiate exclusive content and retail offers for Alpha clientele. SOCIAL MEDIA/VIDEO PRODUCTION: • Content and strategy management for finance news and entertainment across all major social media platforms. In this role I was able to successfully build a strong social media following with a demographic and category (50+) that is notoriously difficult to engage on social media. I independently developed our best practice guidelines for social media and was responsible for all staff training on these policies. I utilised our social channels to achieve unprecedented results for business subscription renewals, acquisitions and event ticket sales. • Script writing and production for all educational video content. Responsibilities included project management, preparing and presenting proposals to GM for approval, budget management, script writing, stakeholder management and production. I developed and produced the Eureka:101 series – a hugely successful finance education series to assist with the on-boarding and retention of new subscribers. • Copywriting and editing for B2C marketing collateral, website content and email marketing AS PR EXECUTIVE: • Campaign development and implementation • PR support for new products, appointments and company developments • IT-based telephone sales and customer service support for subscriber base Show less
