Metis is an immersive 12-week Data Science boot camp covering topics in Statistics, Machine Learning, and Communication using real world data. Some of my projects include: • Built a tool using Natural Language Processing that summarizes hiking trail reviews to give hikers a snapshot of the trails that they are about to hike. • Analyzed different iterations of the Assault Weapons Ban treaty using NLP- Latent Semantic Indexing, Latent Dirichlet Allocation, and Topic Modeling. • Used classification models and Latent Dirichlet Allocation to predict which articles from Mashable.com would be highly shared. • Built a regression model by scraping web data to predict movie gross sales. • Analyzed NYC MTA data and found busiest stations to minimize the outbreak of diseases by optimizing the distribution of scanners.
