It is with great pleasure that I write this recommendation for Misty Upshaw as she has been an invaluable volunteer and board member for Tulsa's Table. Misty has repeatedly shown her dedication to our mission by offering her time and expertise in the field of Human Resources. She strengthened our organizational capacity through the processes of recruiting, interviewing and placing teens in our culinary program. Furthermore, she continues to collaborate on developing organizational policy and systems for data collection. Misty serves as an invested, supportive and trustworthy resource on our board of directors and remains consistently available to field questions that arise. With a spirit of volunteerism that shines in every aspect of her work with us, Misty combined her passion for cooking with mentoring the at-risk teens in our summer culinary program. During that time, she was a reliable weekly presence in the kitchen where she discretely worked one-on-one with the youth. She listened closely to their stories and ultimately garnered their trust. Her patient and kind-hearted attitude made them feel welcomed and understood, a gift beyond measure. It is clear to me that Misty loves to help others and that she does so with respect and a high level of integrity. She is one of those rare individuals who brings compassion to her work, but also understands the need for clear communication and boundaries. As a result, our organization has benefitted in so many ways from her service and expertise. Misty is a true professional who brings out the best in others while offering wisdom and insight to every circumstance. As a volunteer, she continues to prove just how valuable she is and I've no doubt that she would do the same in any work environment.

I have worked with Misty Upshaw for the past 3 years in a project management team. I feel that Misty is highly qualified, a tremendous asset, an important contributor, and she consistently delivers high quality ideas, meets or exceeds deadlines, and assists her co-workers at every opportunity. Prior to the project, Misty Upshaw worked with me in a Human Resources management level. Her communication skills are advanced, her compassionate attitude towards the employees is outstanding, and her level of expertise in the Human Resource field continually outshines all others in her department. Misty is one of the best employees, managers, and mentors I have ever worked with. Her every day life includes support, loyalty, and the highest level of experience.
