I had the opportunity to work directly with Jason while producing content assets for the MS Flight product. While I was the Aircraft PM, Jason served as the creative sound designer for our aircraft audio effects. During the course of the product cycle, we had the opportunity to work together for six on-site audio collection trips. Once the arrangements were in place with the aircraft owner, Jason served as the focal point to coordinate additional audio technician and equipment support from Central Media, ran on-site collection, then incorporated the content into the product. No matter the weather or conditions (it was always cold and rainy it seemed!), I could always count on Jason's professionalism to ensure that our audio collection reflected favorably on the Microsoft team, capturing quality audio in as efficient manner as possible. Although not a pilot himself, he really worked great with the aircraft owners, explaining what we needed in their terms, but understood the specific aircraft limitations and workarounds needed. Once audio was collected, Jason processed source and included in our builds, each time, on schedule. I was always impressed that when needed, he was able to apply his design skills to create effects when faced with a challenging sound! Over the last year and half I really enjoyed working with Jason and hopefully, I have a chance to work with him in the future!
