Started in the propulsion sub team, working on valve optimization and actuator design for MASA’s current rocket, Clementine. On the structures team, worked on an R&D project to overhaul current tank design with better materials and a more efficient manufacturing process. With the new design cycle for our next rocket, Limelight, took on the role of Thrust Transfer Structure Lead. Redesigned the TTS to accommodate higher thrust estimates in a more limited space. Utilizing structural testing as well as FEA to verify calculations. Show less
