The project aimed to address the challenges faced by financial institutions dispersing funds at an individual level. The network focused on funding green, infrastructure, development, and impact projects through corporates in emerging economies while reducing theft, corruption, and counterfeiting. It utilized digital signatures for secure asset transfer and supported offline receipt of payments. Communication within the network was designed to be asynchronous, considering intermittent connectivity. The network incorporated a reputation system that promoted a meritocracy and entrepreneurship, contributing to faster economic recovery. The proposed workflow involved an international body providing foreign direct investment to corporates that met specific requirements. A dispersal profile was created to allocate and track the funds, which were collected in suitable currencies and stored in auditable segregated accounts. Assets were generated within the network, and ownership was transferred to recipients through a payment process. Recipients could only spend these assets with approved third parties, reducing the potential for fraud. Once spent, the assets could become fungible and function as electronic money, further incentivizing the recipients through their reputation within the network. Each peer provided services to assist with asset tracking and other operations, and messages between peers were kept confidential to minimize information leaks related to financial data. Key management was implemented using digital signatures and a hierarchical deterministic approach for key generation. A cryptographic seed was used to generate private and public keys, and the seed was stored on the recipient's device, encrypted with a passphrase known only to the recipient. Show less

The Angel network of Hercules Angels worked tirelessly to identify entrepreneurs who were setting new standards with their innovative ideas, products, and services. The next step was to match each qualified entrepreneur or company with the proper management, plans, and financial support to accelerate the growth of the company on its path to becoming an industry leader. While the future of America and the world seemed bright, there were still challenges that needed to be addressed. From the lack of successful operating models in public K-12 school systems, failing to prepare half of young Americans to compete in a global marketplace for high-paying jobs, to the negative saving rate for unprepared Baby Boomers facing retirement, and the Federal budget deficits in entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare—there was a lot of work to be done. Hercules Angels sought to develop long-term relationships with investors, managers, and entrepreneurs in the areas of its focus and expertise. These areas of business ranged from technology, media, telecommunications, real estate, entertainment, to education. Show less
