Bio
Yan Wang
Exceptionally skilled programmer and a Quick learner are what I can think of when it comes to Pradeep. I’ve more than enjoyed working with Pradeep for over a year and half period while he worked as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant under my supervision. His proficiency in the fields of both Mobile development and Machine Learning plus the ability to learn new topics quickly made him a very good researcher. He has helped give lectures in my classes for under and graduated students. He has successfully managed all the programming projects and provided me many useful suggestions that can attract students. We have spent a lot of personal time together along with Academics, he is the most mature graduate student that I have ever met at Binghamton University. Knowing the kind of person he is, I am very confident that he would be an ideal person to be part of any organization. I hope he will find his challenging and fantastic future in his career. Regards Dr. Yan Wang
Madhusudhan Govindaraju
I mentored Pradeep on a research project for a year. I was impressed by his diligence and methodical approach to tackling tough research problems. He was thorough in the design and execution of experiments and performed rigorous analysis of the experimental data. In particular, Pradeep's work on the development of apps for a smart watch was chosen for discussion and demonstration to visitors (prospective students and their parents) of the Computer Science Department. He was an influential member of our research group and I am confident that he will make key contributions to challenging projects in the industry.

I Worked under the guidance of Dr. Yan Wang and Dr. Madhusudhan Govindaraju as a Machine Learning Research Assistant (NSF) during which I designed and built statistical and machine-learning models and feature extraction systems. Used models and dashboards to solve business problems related to Transportation and Healthcare data pipeline, and communicated these solutions to executive stakeholders.• Engineered a sign language interpreter using wearable sensors in the smartwatch. Analyzed Accelerometer sensor data for different gestures using Tensorflow.• Achieved a minimum of 85% accuracy to detect sign language, by using Gradient Boost Algorithm, this eliminates the need of regular video-based method to analyze finger movements.
