I wear many different hats in my role at CFNC - from trainer to roadrunner. I cover all of the 910 area code which includes sixteen counties. Within this area, I work with all K-12 schools, all colleges & universities, local businesses and community organizations. A typical week may look something like this:Monday: 9am School counselor training for entire county1pm Overview of NC 529 Plan for local business3pm Meeting with local 4H group to discuss ways to work together in the future6pm Judge senior projects at a local high schoolTuesday:7am Parent coffee time at local K-8 school - present on "Preparing for High School - College is in your Child's Future!"2pm Meeting with local college Financial Aid office4pm Meeting with local college Admissions officeWednesday:8am-3pm Work with entire senior class at local high school on college applications and CFNC.org6pm Parent Night: Present on "Preparing for College"Thursday:10am Present information on CFNC.org to local Kiwanis group6pm Parent Night: Present on "Paying for College 101"Friday:10am Conduct Webinar on "Financial Literacy" for local middle school & high school counselors1pm Present & display at local career fair for any K-12 school3pm Present to current community college students on "Transferring to a Four Year School" and "Picking your Career!"Rest and repeat!
