Kawania was hired as an event planner by our organization because of her professional knowledge and experience, her reputation and her great sense of humor. We hired her originally to simply manage logistics of our annual conference, and she did such a superb job that we asked her back to take on program planning along with logistics for our next conference. She excelled at working with volunteer members of the planning committee, gently reminding them of deadlines and expectations. Her organization and her good natured ability to move others along to meet their deadlines met with high praise not only from the association managers but from the volunteers and event participants, as well.
