  Ten Years of research of Desiderio, the artist, collected in an exhibition at the "Spazio Ex Cisterne" Fabbrica del Vapore (Milan, Italy).A synesthetic journey in the poetical and visionary world of this artist, who connects different expression forms, from painting to installation, from performance to video. Curated by Chiara Canali, promoted by Comune di Milano and organized by the cultural Association Art Company.

• Beauty Hazard 2007 / 2017

  The Beauty Hazard project was born in 2007 out of Desiderio's fascination with the themes of beauty, corruption and the flesh, to which he dedicated a series of works using different languages, from painting to video. In May 2007, Desiderio transformed CAOS into an immersive environment for 30 days, in which the works were not only exhibited and scattered throughout the space, but permeated its atmosphere, transforming the place into an aesthetic experience. In May 2017 Desiderio and CAOS met again to give shape to a new episode of Beauty Hazard in which Desiderio's experiences over the last 10 years, from the Venice Biennale to the Havana Biennale, converge on the one hand, his increasingly multidisciplinary artistic research in the field of video, and on the other hand, the consolidated identity of CAOS as a centre dedicated to artistic processes marked by risk and participation.   Malebolge, the new cycle by Desiderio presented on September 21st at the Church of Sant'Angelo in Amelia, Italy, during the Ameria Festival, the exhibition is curated by Lorenzo Rubini.For this special show Desiderio has created huge works which, exhibited in the total space of the deconsecrated church, will form a great site-specific action. The new cycle of works does not address the Dante theme in a peculiar way, it does not analyze the VIII Circle of Hell, the Comedy becomes a significant pretext that pushes the personal and iconographic vision of the same by the artist and becomes a personal Catharsis. The exhibition becomes an excuse to a divergent reading of reality, an enclosure of different points of view, the scenario through which we’re able to interpret the performances that will determine the #Malebolge organism's cells.
