Honored to teach the first offered course on cannabis at Johnson County Community College titled 'Introduction to Cannabis'. This five hour course covers: ancient history of cannabis, history of prohibition, current legislative efforts, a comprehensive look at the Endocannabinoid System, a biochemical breakdown of plant based cannabinoids, entry into the cannabis industry, and more. The focus of this course is provide patients and industry professionals currently serving in the industry or with an interest of serving the industry, with the necessary fundamental knowledge of the plant, its history and its path forward.

Co-founder, CMO & Lead Educator

As co-founder of KC Hemp Co.®, I worked to reach objectives set forth by our team in a start-up setting. This work included developing strategies to reach and often times exceed goals, manage projects, develop SOP's and focus on customer acquisition and retention. As the lead educator within the company I am responsible for client consultation, B2B education and training, as well as partnering with local doctors and hospitals to provide cannabis education to staff and patients. This education includes but is not limited to: biochemical process of cannabis and CBD within the body, incorporating cannabis into pain management, and a comprehensive breakdown of the components of the plant to avoid contraindications. Presenting current research and data analysis of medical studies provides the structure and knowledge needed to continue educating within the healthcare and consumer setting in this role. I have also been invited to speak at Kansas capitol, MoCann industry conferences, and hosted an educational podcast.

Founding President

As founding president of the KCCC I oversaw initial planning, executive board recruitment and membership. I developed and established a clear mission and vision as part of the overall goals of the non-profit. My position required direct legislative lobbying at the state level to guide statute for a comprehensive and sustainable cannabis industry in the state. Through these efforts I focused on community education as a means to shed light on a controversial topic. As a part of this responsibility, I adapted new strategies to continue progress amidst a divided legislature while maintaining the goals of our members. Concurrently, I managed internal meetings on the executive level to increase membership and meet objectives set forth.
