  Throughout the course, we delved into a wide array of fundamental topics in probability and statistics, equipping engineering students with the tools and knowledge necessary for making informed decisions in their future careers. Here are some of the main areas we covered:*Descriptive Statistics: We explored methods for summarizing and describing data, including measures of central tendency, dispersion, and graphical representations.*Discrete & Continuous Random Variables and their Probability Distributions: We studied various probability distributions, such as the binomial, Poisson, normal, and exponential distributions, and their applications in engineering.*Statistical Inference: We delved into the principles of statistical inference, including estimation and hypothesis testing, enabling students to make conclusions about populations based on sample data.*Hypothesis Tests and Confidence Intervals: We examined the foundations of hypothesis testing, constructing confidence intervals, and performing significance tests to assess the validity of assumptions.*ANOVA, Correlation, Regression: We explored advanced techniques such as analysis of variance (ANOVA), correlation analysis, and regression analysis to investigate relationships between variables and analyze their impact on outcomes.*Goodness of Fit Tests and Quality Control Methods: We delved into goodness of fit tests to assess the fit of observed data to theoretical distributions. Additionally, we covered quality control methods to ensure and improve the reliability and efficiency of engineering processes.Being a TA for this course has been an incredibly rewarding experience. I had the privilege of working closely with motivated students, guiding them through complex statistical concepts and helping them develop a solid foundation in probability and statistics. Witnessing their growth and seeing their newfound confidence in applying statistical techniques to engineering problems has been truly inspiring. Show less
