Silfresh is a packaging innovation company creating environmentally responsible and cost-effective products to reduce single-use plastic in the food industry. Our current focus is in designing bespoke silicone products which provide our customers with an easy and reusable way to cover their food in internal operations. The main customer segments we service are supermarkets, butchers/restaurant chains and other large industrial food businesses. Although our company was only launched in late 2018, we have been lucky to work with Australia's largest supermarket chain to help them achieve their sustainability mission. In doing so, we will ultimately save them 600 tonnes of plastic waste, as well as $7million off the bottom line by 2021. We believe that by working with large food businesses to scale our sustainability mission, we can reduce the 1million tonnes of single-use plastic waste going into landfill and Australian waterways every year (APCO, 2019).

Tony was fortunate enough to secure an internship with Australia's largest telecommunication company based on his work during the 2012 University O-Week campaign. This campaign was led by Students Services Australia (SSA) and he was hired as a student ambassador. Tony was tasked with engaging a significant portion of his university through interactive games in order to grow awareness of Telstra's new student mobile plans. The success of Tony's work won him the 2012 Young Marketer of the Year Award and an internship shadowing the General Manager for Youth & Multicultural Segment Marketing at Telstra. Here, he gained an insight into the purpose and processes behind Telstra’s university strategy. A post-campaign analysis found that his work corresponded with a 38% increase in enquiries for the Clayton, Chadstone and Glen Waverley Telstra stores.
