To say that I judge all meetings and events with ‘How would Bruce manage this is a safe assumption. Bruce was ‘my’ logistical partner for over 5 years; everything from advisory boards to speaker trainings to international symposia. The logistical and technical challenges I threw at him, some at the very last minute, were handled completely and professionally. His ability to manage difficult situations whether due to venue, local culture, or VIPs is unsurpassed.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Bruce for close to twenty years. I could never just call Bruce a client because over the years he has also become a valued and trusted friend. Bruce is a leader and professional in his field who genuinely cares about the direction of our industry and making sure companies are keeping up with the times and trends (both in event planning and security.) Recently, I’ve had the opportunity to become a client of his for GDPR preparedness. It’s no surprise that I found Bruce to be detailed, kind and very patient in teaching me what I need to know as a responsible business owner and how to incorporate some necessary best practices into my daily communications that are doable and important. I highly recommend Bruce and if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me.

Full-service General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) consultancy Developed and implemented business in the United Kingdom, Europe, and the United States in complying with the GDPR through process reviews of existing standards, interrogation, and analysis to understand the system's relationships. Oversaw client solutions and led consultancy services, providing insight and advice across the data-protection spectrum. Key Highlights: Worked closely with a British media company to implement compliance with the GDPR. The publisher risked losing significant subscriber revenue and insolvency if they complied without modifications. Failure to comply would result in millions of pounds of fines. By applying best practices to the customer's newly developed data privacy process, our team successfully implemented a new approach achieving full compliance while retaining at-risk yearly sales revenue of £3.5 million. With data in hand, reviewed go-to-market strategies and compared proven best practices to introduce new standard operating procedures to clients, noting areas of interest and issues. Developed and delivered privacy policies as determined by the GDPR and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) regulations, plus training to internal trainers or directly to end-users. Show less

Corporate meeting and events company with over $14 million in annual revenues Played a pivotal role in developing an independent company with comprehensive expertise involving all facets of event marketing management, virtual events, strategic meeting management programs, individual incentives, and P&L management. Competed against larger agencies to provide customized, independent insight and advice, enabling organizations to strive beyond their normal expectations. Key Highlights: Offered tailored solutions to our pharmaceutical clients. The unit delivered $1,500,000 in additional annual revenue to our company and provided higher service levels, faster turnaround time, and quicker payment service to the faculty at a much lower cost than the pharmaceutical clients themselves could provide. Headed up a team of event planners organizing new therapy education events for over 25,000 hemophilia patients and their families at sites around the United States. The initiative was completed under budget by 12% and exceeded the customer's customer satisfaction goal. Using industry expertise and technology, oversaw and implemented the formation and management of meeting consolidation programs for Fortune 100 companies. Managed over 600 individual events (annually), including product launches, user groups, sales incentives, training, and executive meetings. Successfully sourced and negotiated contracts for worldwide events for groups of up to 5,000 people resulting in annual savings of 15-25%, using negotiation skills gained from specialized training and several years' experience. Initially hired as a Regional Sales Director to develop new relationships and convert them into sales. The region grew to over $35 million in revenue through strategic development and leadership, receiving a promotion to General Manager, then Vice President. Key highlights: As a vital member of the sales team, successfully landed the international meeting business of a Fortune 200 pharmaceutical company worth $20 million in annual revenue. Opened a regional Chicago office and a suburban client onsite operation. Initially promoted to General Manager, Client Services, responsible for opening both sites, recruiting over 40 meeting planners, developing integrated processes, operations, client-specific standards, team development, training modules, and successfully initiating technical and cultural training. Responsibilities included account management, sales growth within the account, and operational leadership for the region. As the region increased, I received a promotion to Vice President. Managing a 3,000 client incentive program in Bali, Indonesia, led a team of 75. Due to the national elections, demonstrations broke out and turned violent while guests toured the island. Employing our emergency response plan, we immediately sheltered guests to the nearest hotels deemed safest, secured food and beverages for them until the situation normalized, and returned them safely to our resort. In some cases, 24 hours later. Show less
