One of the best investments I made during my time at Nomura International was in Novinium. Glen Bertini was the founder, President & CEO and we led their Series A financing with a $6M initial investment. Glen was the reason why we invested. Full stop. His deep industry domain experience, leadership skills and passion was exactly the type of founder we were looking to back and he didn't disappoint. He had the perfect trifecta of principle-based leadership, a singular mind, and focused grit. And, Nomura made an attractive return when it exited in 2020. I would invest in Glen again without hesitation. He is the real deal.

I highly recommend Glen Bertini based on my long experience as the outside patent counsel for Novinium. While at Novinium Glen was a primary inventor and technology driver. He excellently managed the Novinium patent acquisition program, and exhibited a keen ability to spot patentable subject matter and provide invaluable assistance in analyzing prior art and identifying aspects of the Novinium inventions distinguishing them over the prior art. Glen has an exceptionally good grasp of patent legal issues, the patent procurement process, and patent strategies, especially considering he is not a lawyer. In one in-person interview with a Patent Office examiner, Glen gave such a convincing and compelling presentation of a particular industry problem, the past efforts of others to solve the problem, and the development and value of the solution provided by the Novinum invention, that the examiner completely changed his mind on patentability and allowed all claims in the patent application at issue. It was a brilliant presentation by Glen and won the day for Novinium.
