Assurance Engagement This was a Due Dilligence assurance engagement for a very well-known international humanitarian organization (“HO”) over a Syrian HO it finances to ensure that it’s meeting its peformance obligations and evaluate its risks. -Conducted an understanding of the Syrian HO business first using external sources and community input -Interviewed their employees to gain an in-depth understanding of their internal controls and operations -Identified risks, listed them, and gave them preliminary ratings -Prepared sample-based work papers to obtain sufficient appropriate evidence about each of the performance pillars set by the international HO -Evaluated aid diversion controls with partners and safeguarding policies, culture, and processes -Conducted sample evaluation and wrote findings -Reviewed the work done by peers under the supervision of a senior -Worked on the assurance engagement presentation and report -Worked in both Arabic and English 2.
