First time I met Rakhmad was in the year 2000, when he organized the first Model UN Security Council I had ever heard of in my life. It was amazing exeprience, and I am still grateful to him for his initiative and guidance. Later on we volunteered together at the Law Clinic at the UWED. Although we were not in the same group at the Clinic he was always available if I needed a qualified advice. My pesonal opinion is that Rakhmad is a uniquely creative and bright legal professional. I would recommend Rakhmad with confidence as an invaluable asset to any company.

Rakhmad is a very genuine, intelligent and engaging individual. Although we worked in different groups, I have no doubt that Rakhmad will excel at all that he chooses. He is an asset to any team, bridging differences with ease. Rakhmad is a very likable person and it was a real pleasure to work with him.

I coordinated between several departments to deliver excellent products and services to Bombardier customers. As one of the largest civil aircraft manufacturers globally, Bombardier is a global corporation that deals with customers of different cultural and business backgrounds. I used my aviation industry knowledge, cultural intelligence, and legal drafting skills to support multi-million dollar aircraft sale, lease, and financing transactions. Excellent communication, problem-solving and time management skills helped me handle multiple projects simultaneously. Show less

Completing lawyer’s licensing requirements at a boutique transportation law firm, I contributed to litigation files on air transportation, shipping and cargo claims representing Fortune 500 insurance companies in Canada. Participating in every step of litigation sharpened my decision-making and strategy skills and advanced my abilities in handling legal matters in multiple jurisdictions. Mentorship received from leading lawyers and sharing of expertise enhanced my legal drafting and advocacy skills. Show less

This self-initiated internship at the UN office gave me a unique opportunity to work on the acute legal problems in Central Asia, such as corruption, drug trafficking and enforcement of anti-money laundering UN conventions. Knowing the realities in post-Soviet countries allowed me to analyze the problems from multiple angles and propose specific recommendations in a forty-page report submitted to national governments for consideration. I honed my abilities to be effective in a politically sensitive environment and deliver solutions within a narrow mandate and tight deadlines. Show less

As a legal professional with the necessary language skills, I managed all registrations of intellectual property rights and trademarks of multinational corporations at IP offices in Europe, Asia, and the CIS countries. Efficient time management and setting correct priorities allowed me to complete projects despite time zone differences in respective countries. I followed the latest changes in laws and advised IP rights holders on how to comply with new legal regimes in affected countries. As a member of the international legal team, I conducted legal research and documentation reviews to support the first indictment issued by then newly established international court. Attention to the smallest details in witness testimonies, evidence, and factual chronology helped me to contribute to devising the best strategies to succeed in the Court’s first case. Advanced document management and analytical skills assisted me in creating a database of laws and court decisions to be used by the ICC. Show less

Under the guidance of the Head of External Cooperation, I maintained regular contact with diplomats from the then OSCE Asian partner states: Japan, Korea, Thailand, Afghanistan, and Mongolia. I contributed to organizing high-level diplomatic meetings between the OSCE Member States using my communication skills. This internship significantly improved my argumentation, negotiation, and multi-tasking skills, which proved invaluable at a later stage of my professional life.
