This position required immense flexibility; planning adoption events, running a grant program, managing the in-house retail store, purchasing shelter supplies, volunteer training and support, and more. Parks, Recreation and Fair

In 2011 the Skagit County Parks Department merged with the formerly separate Skagit County Fair Department. Under the guidance of Fair Manager, Aric Gaither and department director, Brian Adams, we undertook a full rebuild of the annual Skagit County Fair and 2 supplemental Fairground events. I built several activities and procedures, managed volunteers, and supported logistical operations needed to run the Fairgrounds.

I was hired as an intern to assist with the Skagit County Parks and Recreation Comprehensive Plan. This is a guide to the growth and planning for the department that gets updated every 4 years.
