Managing a household with a child with special needs has many unique challenges. I learned how to multi-task in multiple ways and manage my time much more efficiently. I practiced a great deal of patience and cooperation caring for young children including my own. Meeting challenges, accepting difficulties and finding creative solutions when none were apparent instilled in me a deep appreciation for what a precious gift life is. For the summer of 2011, I was invited to support the work of the Altai Mir University trekking group as they journeyed to the sacred Mountains of Altai Russia to work with the Indigenous Elders there. This journey was supported by UNESCO and the traveling wisdom keepers from many nations and traditions. My unique skill is in translating the concepts and manifestations from the nature-based, holistic thinking system into the modern technology-driven language. This included maintaining the website, blog and a lot of cross-cultural editing. Show less

Within a company's existing functional structure, this unique system "rewires" decision-making to activate deep organizational intelligence and creativity. The name "dynamic self-governance" stems from the method's roots in system dynamics and the science of steering and control (cybernetics). The methodology ingeniously couples decision-making and organizational steering to all the human and data feedback in the system.* This way of steering optimizes organizational responsiveness to both internal and external pressures while simultaneously providing security and stability. For my part in organizing healthcare practitioners into collaborative holistic healing clinics, hosting classes, events and networking with the local business community, I was trained as a facilitator using the Dynamic Governance model. This training and subsequent experience as a facilitator has helped me to learn to communicate with others at the core of their beliefs by listening deeply to their own passion and drive. Utilizing these skills of communication through both oral and written modalities translate into sharing powerful illustrations, meaningful stories and direct information exchange This method ensures equal voice to all participants in conversation and problem solving until consent has been reached. I have found it to be incredibly effective at getting to the core of compassion and promoting of tolerance which leads to group dynamics which ensure an outcome in which everyone is involved in and invested in succeeding. grassroots community acupuncture, a community acupuncture clinic in the heart of the fremont neighborhood. we are excited to be a part of a growing network of acupuncture clinics dedicated to serving our communities by providing high-quality, affordable acupuncture. we offer acupuncture on a sliding scale of $15-35 per visit (plus a one-time $10 paperwork fee for the first appointment) because we are committed to making it more affordable and accessible to those who need it. the sliding scale separates the issues of money and treatment; we want you to come in often enough to actually get better and stay better! we recognize that everyone’s situation is different, and our primary goal is to make acupuncture available to you as often as you need it, for as long as you need it. In 1972, the first Sur La Table store opened in Seattle’s Pike Place Market. It was a place where serious cooks found a surprising selection of culinary tools from around the world, with helpful, knowledgeable employees who loved cooking, too. The catalog department was started in 1993. The company has now grown to more than 100 stores across America, with a website and catalog viewed by millions of people each year and a highly regarded cooking class program. But some things haven’t changed: we’re still the place for an unsurpassed selection of exclusive and premium-quality goods for the kitchen and table. We’re still passionate about cooking and entertaining, eager to share all we know. Show less
