Founder of this non-profit organization providing help and hope to abused and neglected children. Unique to BEAR is the private-public partnership in which the state and county agencies donate physical facilities, office equipment and furniture and staff salaries, while the private sector donates in-kind goods, cash contributions, and volunteer time to provide necessities such as food and clothing, a holiday gift program and back-to-school supplies for children in need. BEAR is nationally recognized by America’s Promise founded by General Colin Powell.

The Center serves as an independent and respected source of research, a catalyst to connect and energize divergent leaders and groups, and an incubator of regional initiatives for long-range thought and action. Serves more than 7 million residents in a 23-county area * Community Indicators: Provides interactions online and print report card for the region's progress on critical social economic and environmental measures of competitiveness an sustainability. Based on peer-reviewed research since 2007* Scenarios 2040: Spearheaded the largest public-interest, business led regional scenario project in the country. Through several years of extensive research and analysis, created two plausible pictures of our region's future in the year 2040
