Bio
Tony Scott
Andy and I worked together on a development project for almost three years as independent consultants. He was hired to write firmware for a complex data acquisition system, including a hardware abstraction layer. This was a daunting task. It required wading through 52 pages of interconnected schematics, thousands of lines of prototype code, and multiple revisions of product specifications and technical documents. Through it all, Andy displayed an impressive ability to simultaneously pay attention to important details while keeping the bigger picture in mind. In addition to his robust code, the API he published for this product is one of the best written and clearly organized engineering documents I have ever seen, and it will stand as an important reference document for years to come. In addition to his many technical contributions, Andy helped out with project estimation and scheduling. In every interaction during the course of the project, he has always been professional, diligent, positive, and productive, bringing great technical breadth and subject matter depth to the team’s discussions. I am glad Andy and I had the opportunity to work on this project together and hope that we will be able to work together again soon.
