My duties were to also function as an armory personnel responsible for the issue and turn-in of all weapons of the 89th Security Forces Squadron and 175th Infantry. E-4/Specialist Hours per month: 48; Provide front line medical care to fellow soldiers in need. I conducted basic medical training for soldiers who may be faced with combat wounds. Conducted basic sick call for the soldiers of an assigned unit. Maintained the medical records of soldiers in my assigned unit. I responded to all forms of emergencies within Charles County, MD. I treated and transported all critical ill and injured persons either to the closest medical facility or trauma center. When on an emergency scene, I supervised all patient care activities and managed a team of career and volunteer EMS responders. I functioned as a Hazardous Materials Technicians for the county on the state region HazMat Response team. I would assist the team in training for HazMat incidents up to and including the use of weapons of mass destruction. I have also functioned as a tactical paramedic in the county in support of the Charles County Sheriff's Office. I would accompany the Sheriff’s deputies on raids of suspects homes and high risk warrants. I was also trained in urban combat tactics as well as victim rescue and recovery during active shooter scenarios.
