Supervisor: Prof Alessandro Cellerino My work aimed to investigate miRNAs as possible barcoding markers in the fishes of genus Nothobranchius. Techniques used: miRNA extraction, touchdown PCR, Sanger sequencing, agarose gel electrophoresis. Phylogenetic trees were reconstructed using ClustalW and Mega6 software.
