Ideation of the brand Eataly; development of the Total Brand Experience model: working for some of the best Italian food companies, such as De Cecco, Eataly, Frescobaldi, and Illy. These are the milestones of a very beautiful and rewarding entrepreneurial experience. Creating the “consumerist brand” was the fascinating goal of this entrepreneurial project. My primary direct duties were creating the new brand; presenting this disruptive business concept to the top managers of the Italian consumer manufacturers and retailers, and discussing the relative strategic issues. I started as an assistant to the Chairman and I progressively got the responsibility of all the Staff Departments (Strategic Planning, Control, Finance, Personnel, Logistics, Information Services) with the mission to upgrade the structures and procedures of a family company to the managerial standard of a modern group. When I was 34, I was eventually appointed President, getting the full P&L responsibility of the Company and managing 7 Vice Presidents plus three staff Managers. The main accomplishments of our activity were: • Efficiency recovery of manufacturing and sales operations; • Brand repositioning; • Plan for a strategic alliance within the Italian pasta industry; • Ideation of an innovative brand suitable to enter a new price segment; • Launch of a partnership project for company development in the USA. These accomplishments found a sound reward for the outstanding financial performance of the company, in spite of the deep crisis which, at that time, involved the Italian Pasta Industry. Very beautiful experience within a champion of the Italian Food

Assisting the Chairman on different financial issues, I mainly worked on the strategic plan. In spite of a dull and bureaucratic environment, the experience was very intriguing and challenging due to the atypical complexity of the context which I had to deal with. I worked on projects such as company reorganization, enterprise evaluation, industrial accounting, financial equilibrium analysis, and dealing directly with customers at board level. A truly enriching job because of the interdisciplinary approach to management issues and exposure to entrepreneurial behavior. This post, within the EUROPEAN MOS MEMORY DIVISION, was the attainment of a special managerial development program held by the US CORPORATE. Wonderful experience, fundamental for my whole career! In fact, In TI I didn’t only gather advanced techniques but, much more than this, I had the chance “to learn how to work” in an environment that greatly rewards initiative, innovation, flexibility, and effectiveness.
