Bio
Jesse Scinto
I met Rebecca two years ago when she enrolled in the graduate Strategic Communication program at Columbia University. I was her instructor for two courses, The Critical Mind and Dynamics of Persuasion. From the beginning, Rebecca displayed a deep interest in the material and a drive to augment her already impressive visual communication skills. She handled challenging written and spoken assignments with confidence and excelled in the development of targeted messaging. She came up with creative yet practical strategies for our real-world nonprofit client. And I was particularly impressed by her capstone project, which focused on the Broadway play Next to Normal. (Rebecca's passion for the theater is contagious.) At Columbia, Rebecca distinguished herself intellectually and was well-liked by her peers. For these reasons and more, I gladly recommend her!
Erik Kaiko
Rebecca often went above and beyond in her work at NYTW, and proved to be a very reliable member of the team. She was not afraid to ask questions when something needed clarification, and she was successful in navigating a variety of projects, from proofreading to reporting to executing design projects from start-to-finish. Her attention to detail and commitment to getting things right make her a very valuable addition to a company. She has developed a strong marketing point-of-view, and has keen insight into the world of digital marketing and social media. She actively seeks out ways to be useful and takes ownership over her work. Rebecca is always willing to work collaboratively within an organization and as part of a team, and is ready to handle increased responsibility.
