As a recovery coworker, my role is to repurpose products that are unfit to sell in a sustainable manner, with these products being recovered and given a second chance. In addition to repurposing products, recovery coworkers deal with quality issues, customer service, and waste removal. I have also been a pivotal member in the introduction of the furniture buyback program, training new staff on the process and ensuring the smooth installation of the program for customers to upcycle old furniture. To teach children aged 5-13 swimming techniques and necessary skills to be competent swimmers in 30 minute weekly lessons. I used verbal communication and leadership skills to lead the classes and to ensure the smooth running of the lesson. 95% of the students in my 4 weekly classes per school term progressed to a higher level of achievement throughout my 14 month tenure.
