Recent Accomplishments in Current Position • Successfully created, led and implemented the development of the Mesa Community Outreach Center, to include programs and services to promote college access, family literacy, Hispanic community outreach and broad partnerships and engagement with community based organizations. Recipient of the John & Suanne Roueche Award for Excellence, March 2015,Maricopa Community College Diversity Award of Excellence, 2014, 2016, Maricopa Community College/League for Innovation Recognition 2017 • Provided leadership and strategic planning for the expansion of enrollment and outreach services for the MCC Downtown Center and subsequent relocation to the MCC Southern & Dobson campus. • Co-Chaired Mesa Community College’s exploratory efforts to become a Hispanic Serving Institution (2014-2016), inclusive of internal and external community participation. Outcomes included five areas of focus for college readiness, strategic direction and recommendations. • Led and facilitated a new dual enrollment organizational model resulting in increased dual enrollment participation (20% 2016, 24% 2017) and alignment with Higher Learning Commission guidelines• Co-Chaired and led the development of the Bridging Maricopa: Foster Youth Student Success Project in coordination with District Director of Student Affairs. Project yielded model focused on collaboration with internal and external community based organizations and educational institutions to address opportunities for college access and completion among youth in foster care. • Created and implemented College Starts Now summer leadership program serving under-served and academically under-prepared 8th grade students.   Provide leadership and oversight of eight Student Affairs departments in the areas of Enrollment Services, in addition to providing oversight of the MCC Dual Enrollment/Early College program. Participate in strategic enrollment management planning and execution. Collaborate with faculty on a variety of projects resulting in comprehensive and campus wide initiatives impacting student service and success. Provide oversight and make recommendations to operational planning, to include fiscal management of over $4 Million in operational fundsAreas of oversight: Admissions, Records, Registration, Financial Aid, Assessment, Advisement, Transfer, Dual Enrollment, Recruitment and Outreach. Accomplishments• In concert with the Vice President of Student Affairs, restructured and implemented a new division within Student Affairs, Community Outreach & Enrollment Development, resulting in the reorganization and centralization of Student Affairs departments to include Early College (Achieving a High School Education, Hoop of Learning, and concurrent and dual enrollment programs), Recruitment & Outreach, and ESL Support Services (2011)• In partnership with the Dean of Academic Affairs, initiated and restructured enrollment services reflecting a “one-stop” process for during peak registration to increase seamless delivery of services and reduction of inefficient process impeding enrollment. • Developed, implemented and executed college wide Service Excellence standards in alignment with College mission, vision and goals resulting in its adoption among the MCC institutional values, employee expectations and performance standards• In partnership with the Dean of Academic Affairs, developed and executed a comprehensive academic advisement model for faculty advisement- F.A.C.T.
