For 2 weeks, I learned about the different fields of oceanography and gained hands-on experience in data science applications to each respective field. In the second week, I developed and advanced a research project with 3 other students in marine geology and geophysics aimed at analyzing the correlation between seismicity and slab depth in subduction zones across the planet. Worked with four teammates to redevelop a fictional neighborhood using real estate practices. Created a proposal that included market analysis, financial models, site plan, street design, and sustainability plans. As the team's Neighborhood Liaison, my main objective was to factor requests from the town's citizens into the redevelopment proposal. Presented and defended the final proposal to a City Council of industry experts. Worked with four teammates to redevelop a fictional neighborhood using real estate practices.
