Tad carries the torch lit by the inaugural Chairman, Harris Kalofonos, believing that if Colorado Springs residents know more about the origin and legacy of the Ancient Olympic Games they would be able to clearly comprehend the impact US Olympic hopefuls who live and train in Colorado Springs have on the long term growth of our city. Tad helps the city manage the sister city relationship that was created between Ancient Olympia, Greece, and Colorado Springs effective April, 2014. The Young Champion Ambassador (YCA) program breaths life into this relationship by sending local high school students, their families, and city officials to Ancient Olympia, Greece, to participate in Olympic related ceremonies. Director, Young Champion Ambassador Program
-
Oct 2014 - Present
This is a volunteer position with the Colorado Springs Sister Cities program and City for Champions Initiative. The Young Champion Ambassador (YCA) Program ultimately selects a local High School student to represent the city of Colorado Springs during an ambassadorial trip to our sister city, Ancient Olympia, Greece, to participate in the Olympic torch lighting ceremony and Olympic torch relay. This ceremony occurs three months prior to the opening ceremony of each Olympic Games. The YCA select will come from an essay contest of 10 school districts and over 30,000 students in the local area. The "Top Finalists" also each make a presentation and display or present a piece of art representing the Olympic Movement in the Springs to garner the winning YCA position. All School-level winners make up the respective group of Young Ambassadors and attend local events and tours during the year leading up to the trip to build their ambassadorial knowledge of the local community. The inaugural YCA group participated in the Olympic torch lighting and relay ceremonies in Ancient Olympic, Greece on April 21st, 2016.Read more about this amazing opportunity at: ycaimpact.com Show less

The mission of Tad's Network is to develop enduring relationships with clients by providing expert guidance for a lifetime of financial security. Tad Vannaman and his team believe that the best way to achieve your financial goals is by aligning your current financial picture with your future financial goals. By listing your goals and objectives, identifying your assets and liabilities, and comparing what you have to what you want, he works with clients to define their vision of a secure financial future, focusing on providing solutions in line with that vision, and working towards achieving results. Over our lifetime, we all experience many different financial needs and circumstances that can be summarized into three broad stages: risk management, wealth accumulation, and wealth preservation and distribution. + Risk Management: Protecting that which you can least afford to lose—your earning power. + Wealth Accumulation: Accumulating wealth in a tax-efficient manner for specific goals such as your children's education, retirement funding, or a future financial need. + Wealth Preservation and Distribution: Success in the wealth accumulation area creates the need to preserve and distribute that which you have worked so hard to accumulate.
