For me this role has been an opportunity to use my skills to make a difference in the community.   During this voluntary role, I truly showcased my planning skills with extensive event project management, organising a range of indoor and outdoor events for over 200 people. My negotiation and networking skills were an essential part of this role as I was dealing with suppliers and event contacts to deliver different activities, including hikes, weekend retreats and football tournaments. I was able to use my skills in producing video content to support the project’s social media platform where I led community engagement, promoted ongoing communications and ensuring the project remained at the forefront of the local community.

  An inspiring engaging leader, I love helping team development and supporting people to prosper and learn new skills. Here, I led groups of over 30 young people by planning and running a range of sessions and events whilst also training to become a full section leader. I am really proud of engaging with the youth in the group, driving strong relationships based on integrity, respect and consistently promoting open communications to drive social/personal development.
