Vail Corporation and Heavenly Ski Resort is a great company to work for in Lake Tahoe. I learned a ton of new skills and worked hard every day. On a daily basis I assigned positions each day to employees, held morning meetings, budgeted payroll, oversaw ticket sellers on the RPOS systems and much more. I made schedules, logged payroll and learned how to supervise a team in a busy, stressful environment. This position was a great career move for me and I loved every minute of it. I worked on a rodeo, enough said. Just kidding! I was a production assistant for the short lived drama/sports show on Spike TV called the Toughest Cowboy. I followed the camera men around logging the minutes of the show, interviews and important events during the show as well as helped out wherever needed. Growing up in the suburbs of PA I had never been to a rodeo before, I barely knew what 'bucking off' meant! This was a great experience to learn all about that world. Intern/Marketing Assistant

I worked closely with the Marketing Manager to get the word out for all the shows/concerts happening that semester at good ole penn state. We did everything from grassroots marketing to picking tv/commercial spots. This internship was an amazing experience. I learned a ton, worked alot, and got to work with a great group of people putting on awesome shows while getting to watch them from anywhere in the venue. I also got my hands a little dirty doing some 'load in' work, ie setting up stages and all that entails. Met some interesting people. Show less
