Originally hired to work on the Zerigo cloud computing platform I ended up working on the Virtual Office Desktop application. I pioneered the use of Electron to replace Adobe AIR as a base platform. After using Node and XMPP to rebuild our instant messaging component, we began moving features from AIR to Electron. Eventually I was given the task of creating a JavaScript module to interface with pre-existing C binaries that handled all of the VOIP capabilities. I also worked on improving our agile processes, test suites, and documentation.

I'm doing Ruby on Rails development for several in-house projects and the Ion Cloud platform. I'll be leading the upgrade from Rails 2 to 3 (and eventually to Rails 4) of our cloud server management application. Enterprise level Ruby. Service oriented architecture. Virtual data center programming. Single product focus. Real deal stuff. I'm learning a lot every day and getting the chance to flex my skills at the same time.
