Believe Initiative Student Participant
-
Apr 2018 - Jun 2018
In 2018, I was one of top 13 students chosen to become a Believe Initiative student leader at my school. This meant, that I was one of first students to participate and engage in the Believe Initiative's Summit program, which encouraged self-belief and resilience in students across North America. Throughout the program, I combined a passion I had and a problem I wanted to solve, to write a short (unpublished) book called "It's All About Believing" to inspire and motivate youth across Canada. Throughout this process as a student leader, I was actively involved in helping the development of the program at my school and also was mentored by Alicia Brown, a Believe Initiative ambassador and Canadian Olympian.
