During my first university summer holiday I took an internship in the Trademark Filings Department as well as spending time in the Trademark Searches department, at Brandstock Services AG. In the Filings Department, I handled many independent projects, including: - Requesting data sheets and translations of official documents from agents in over 100 countries, filing and processing all correspondence and respective documents; - Examining and cross-checking earlier registration certificates against the customer use online platform; - Requesting and processing status reports from over 30 countries for a trademark in the process of withdrawal and amending the respective Excel tables; - Processing official registration certificates by means of scanning, filing and distributing into paper files; - General office organization and completion of paper and data files; - Preparing priority documents and organizing UPS shipping to worldwide agents; - Collecting and prioritizing worldwide international property news updates to forward to clients in email format; - Keeping the invoice and accounts Excel table up to date; - Reviewing and alerting the department of upcoming deadlines; - Learning all stages of trademark filing procedures.
