      • Sep 2022 - Present

In this year, I have been involved in several projects in the CAD and FEM fields such as: - Brake pedal design and optimization to achieve weight reduction;- Optimization of the EBS support system to maximize the braking force generated;- Analysis on the chassis under operating and torsion conditions;- Study and sizing of a torsion machine for the chassis;- Modeling and research of materials for the cockpit firewall.I was also in charge of manufacturing and assembly, especially the carbon fiber components of the cockpit and those produced in additive manufacturing starting from the jigs to the paddle system for steering wheel shifting. 🇮🇹 Formula SAE Italy (Driverless): 1st 🥇with 100 points out of 100This season, I worked on drafting documents for the competitions in Italy, Czech Republic and Germany, such as the Costed and Detailed BOM, Cost Explanation File, Supporting Material and Real Case Scenario. For the preparation and drafting of these documents, each process for the production of the steering and brake systems as well as the engine system. In addition, for the validation of the estimated time for the production of the components, I was responsible for conducting CAM analysis using Autodesk software. 🇮🇹 Formula SAE Italy (Driverless): 2nd 🥈 with 97,57 points out of 100🇩🇪 Formula Student Germany (Combustion & Driverless): 8th with 84 points out of 100During this period I worked on the drafting of the necessary documents for this static event, such as the Costed and Detailed BOM, Cost Explanation File and Supporting Material. For the preparation and writing of these documents, each process for the production of the chassis and aerodynamic kit as well as the suspension system was analysed in detail, including the production costs and the environmental impact associated with it.All this work led us to particularly high scores at both the Italian and German competitions, in which I took part as the contact person for the Aerodynamics, Chassis and Cockpit part. • FEM Analyst - Aerodynamic Division
      • Jul 2021 - Sep 2022

During this period I was responsible for the mechanical and structural design of the aerokit, dealing with both the choice of materials (such as carbon fabric, epoxy resin, various metals) and the finite element simulation of the various components.Specifically, the objectives achieved for this year were as follows:- Structural underbody in CFRP;- Redesign of the swan necks for the rear wing;- Sizing and selection of CFRP rods for the rear wing;- Redesign of endplates for rear wing in CFRP;- Design of supports and ribs for the front wing;- Optimisation of regulation-compliant attachments for the entire aerokit.Reliability and manufacturing simplicity were key to the entire design, which is why I was also responsible for optimising the choice of manufacturing processes. • Graphics Division support member
      • May 2021 - Oct 2021

During this period I was busy producing renders of the complete car and individual components/assemblies to be used in the presentations for the Engineering Design Event for both competitions in which we participated in 2021: FS Netherlands and FS Italy. My task was to instruct and coordinate a group of about 5 people in the use of Keyshot rendering software, and then interface with the technical directors of the mechanical and driverless area, for the effective preparation of the supporting material for the discussions with judges. • 3D Modeler - Aerodynamics Division
      • Sep 2020 - Jul 2021

During this time, I was mainly involved in 3D design and modelling using PTC Creo Parametric software. The projects I have been personally involved in were as follows:- Modelling of a simplified single-seater CAD for CFD simulations;- Study of the kinematics and modelling of the DRS with pneumatic actuation for the rear wing;- Drafting of the parts to be produced with various technologies including a GD&T study;- First FEM analyses for the dimensioning of structural parts such as the support for the EBS.In addition to the design work, I took an active part in the production of the 2021 car, learning from scratch how to work in the workshop with metal and composite materials, and then validating part of the analyses made in the track tests. This car then took part in the FS Netherlands and FS Italy competitions, in the latter in the Driverless category, obtaining 3rd place in both the Engineering Design Event and the Business Plan Presentation.
