  While working at Dorian, I worked with other photographers to create a fun, memorable, and happy photo day experience. We arrived at the school early to set up the equipment, test the printers, and be ready to photograph staff or students before our start time. Once we start photographing I am changing the background colors, creating beautiful portraits, avoiding glasses glare, interacting with students, and creating a positive environment. I have to be quick, observant, and quick to problem solve so the students are able to get back to class with a great new id card. If anyone has any questions I answer them to the best of my ability and work with the student helpers to help the day run smoothly. While not every day can run smoothly I keep my attention on creating a positive experience and doing what I can to make each person feel great about their portrait. Once the day is over we finish up the paperwork for the lab and check in with the school’s office to see if we can do anything before we leave. Show less

  As a freelancing photographer I communicate with clients to find a location, date that works for them, and understand their style to create a positive memorable portrait experience they will cherish for years to come. I work to create great customer service while also being creative, different, and reflecting on the personal moments in a wedding or personal session. I primarily work with a Canon 80D and natural lighting with some fill lighting to bring out the natural beauty in my clients. I am constantly checking the images I am taking for the right exposure and problem solving in the moment. After the photo session I take back the RAW files and put them into Adobe Photoshop to enhance the lighting, colors, or do any touch ups to the image. I have done a wide variety in Photoshop from face swapping to flattening stomachs to softening the background. Once the portrait are complete, I prepare them for shipping and communicate with the client so they are aware of when to expect their portraits. Show less

  During the Christmas season I worked with a team of photographers to create an exciting, memorable Christmas tradition of meeting and taking pictures with Santa Claus. I greeted the families, collected their information, and created the photo list of client’s choices. I worked closely with the photographer to remind them of specific photo orders, letting them know when to slate, and if the families had special requests. While the photographer was at lunch or someone was sick, I filled in to work closely with a wide range of people from babies to large adult groups. I helped small children smile while feeling nervous on Santa’s lap or getting their attention to look at the camera. I needed to be flexible, quick on my feet, focus on the details, work well with kids, and creating a beautiful portrait. With long lines of families waiting to see Santa I especially needed to focus on being patient yet efficient. Once the shift was over we filled in the next photographer and double-checked our paperwork to be sent to the studio. Show less

  As a part of a school photography team, I efficiently set up and tore down the photography equipment. I posed customers while cheerfully interacting with those waiting in line to create a quick and comfortable photo experience. I answered any questions the customer had and worked with the parent helpers on site so the student pictures run smoothly.   As a personal assistant, I helped the mom file documents, picked up supplies for the house, and organized so needed items were quick and easy to find. As a nanny, I cared for three school aged children and worked on everything for the family. I usually but wasn’t limited to making dinner, washing and folding laundry, cleaning dishing, picking up the house, taking care of pets, and carpooling the kids to and from events. While working with a busy schedule I needed to be patient, a quick problem solver, work in a fast environment, be flexible to schedules changing, and be able to manage my time to get through all of my daily tasks.
