Each package when cooked in six to ten cups of boiling water provides six helpings of tasty food, each of which provides all vitamins and minerals required for healthy life for one day. For many in Nicaragua this is the only thing they have to eat for that one day but it keeps them alive and healthy. Each meal is prepared for a quarter including costs for ingredients, packaging expenses and shipment to Nicaragua. Boxes of 216 meals only cost $54 each, or $1800 for a pallet of 33 boxes.
