Giving back to the community has always been an important part of society. That's why it was so surprising to find out that the last decade has seen a declining trend in the completion of community service especially among high school students. During my high school sophomore year (2016), I decided to take drastic action jumpstarting a business called "CommunityLinks" which focuses on finding volunteer opportunities for high school students based on their interests. I am currently working on designing the website behind the service with the hope that by creating a service that allows students to find the best community service opportunities for them, students will learn the importance of giving back.
