Evaluated deposition of coating materials and determined limiting kinetic step of reaction with Quartz Crystal Microbalance with Dissipation. Designed, programed, and constructed automated coating systems to deposit layer-by-layer films. Developed novel gas phase reaction and reactor for the removal of sulfur from Barium Titanate pollen replicas.Managed five graduate and three undergraduate students providing leadership and guidance on research as senior GRA.Collaborated with electrochemical experts to develop surface coatings for electrode protection in lithium-ion batteries.

Research Engineer

Worked on a team to develop and optimize test stations for control and data collection for testing of Direct Methanol Fuel Cells. Assisted in design and physically build test stations that monitored and controlled multiple temperatures, gas selection, gas and liquid flow rates, and power output. Assisted in development and optimization of LabVIEW code for test stations. Job requirements included maintaining systems, ensuring reproducible results and developing guides for future engineers working with the test stations.

Research focused on cathode blower selection and cell performance testing for Direct Methanol Fuel Cell Technology.Characterized bonding mechanisms for Cold Spray copper. Evaluated tensile strength and failure modes of various composite materials for The James Web Space Telescope.

Security Officer

Worked as a floating security officer around Jacksonville and Orlando. Work at a variety of locations providing building security, site security, crowd control, access control and VIP security as part of a team. This work required astute observation, effective note taking for pass down and good communication and people skills. As a security officer, I received training in diverse areas: MARSEC, Conflict Resolution and Confrontation Management, Port Security, TWIC and handling of Sensitive Materials.
