Clients have various mental illnesses including bipolar, schizophrenia, attention deficit-hyperactive disorder, etc. My primary goal is to help the clients learn how to take care of themselves and achieve their many goals. Online documentation is necessary to provide detailed descriptions of every shift on how the clients are progressing on their goals and to report incidents that may occur.

  I sat in on therapy sessions with both the therapist and client's consent, taking notes on how the therapist interacted with the client(s). This occurred both at the clinic as well as at the local middle school. I also learned about several methods of assessment such as the Welscher Adult Intelligence Scale - IV (WAIS-IV), the Welscher Intelligence Scale for Children - IV (WISC- IV), the Welscher Preschool and Primary Primary Intelligence Scale (WPPSI), and the Resiliency Scales for Children and Adolescents.

  Completed various volunteer projects. I learned both teamwork skills working in various patrols and leadership skills acting as the Senior Patrol Leader. Various skills that I developed included outdoor survival skills, archery, community service, fire prevention and control, and project development. My Eagle Scout project involved developing a garden border and a stone walkway for the Community of Christ, Washington DC congregation. Completed various volunteer projects.
